Polo Ireland will be the umbrella for IPF where Horse Sport Ireland is concerned, but any funds raised by IPF will be solely for IPF and therefore will not impact IPF. No, clubs will still have full power over decisions regarding tournament levels, daily operations, chukkas, etc. Polo Ireland will be there to set the guidelines, and should a problem arise at the club level that cannot be resolved, then it will go to them. Polo Ireland will be the HSI affiliate and oversee the protocols and processes necessary to be an affiliate of HSI, such as Child Protection, Safety, etc.
Yes, there will be smaller committees with terms set by Polo Ireland with agreement of Clubs affiliated to PI.
This should be viewed as a positive move, but we need to move forward with all clubs signed up. We don't want one club allowing non-members of Polo Ireland to play, as with all other HSI affiliates like Show Jumping and Eventing.
